Talk Science with Chemist Graham George

Kids, sponsors, escorts and workshop volunteers are invited to an ice cream social in the breezeway at 3:00, just after the last workshop is over. There will be toppings galore and an opportunity to relax and re-energize before the final, fun, science talk. 

Dr. Graham George will "talk science" in the SLAC auditorium. Both Dr. George and his wife, Dr. Ingrid Pickering, are research chemists at SSRL. Between experiments on the x-ray beamlines, they attend to their family that includes 3 children: 2 boys and a girl. Educated in England, they have been on the scientific staff at SSRL for more than a decade. Expect the unexpected and fasten your seat belts!
