Astrophysics

Electronics 2

Activity

Hazards

Mitigation

Astrophysics: Fly through the universe in 3-D, faster than light, through the Milky Way! Make your own comet and learn how astronomers see far, far away – EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN!

Fingers get cold in dry ice

Wear gloves

Electronics 2: Build an electronic voice monitor! Stuff and solder a pc board, mount IC’s (integrated circuits) and assemble the unit. After assembly, monitor your voice volume with the LEDs. What does it say– WISE GUY!

You could burn yourself or solder can “pop” into and damage your eye

Always pick up a hot soldering iron ONLY by the handle; keep the tip and the metal barrel away from fingers, skin, clothing, and anything else that can get burned; put the iron back in the holder

Kids 9 to 11 years - Option A  or Option B or Option C    Kids 12 years & up - Option D or Option E or Option F
