                                       speaking on

"Workplace Politics: Avoiding the Pain and
Embarrassment of Being Blindsided
"

Wherever and whenever people gather, politics is there. People jockey for advantage, influence (power), prestige, and/or promotion or tenure. Politics is core to how organizations do business. However, situations often turn ugly when a colleague, manager, or direct report unexpectedly "attacks" another in meetings or during discussions (often called "blindsiding"). Has this ever happened to you? If not, it likely will at some point in your career. Join Yvonne T. Ryan as she explains how to keep from being blindsided in the workplace using personal acuity, political savvy, and humor.

Yvonne Ryan, Founder and President of Leader's Edge CA, is also a trained mediator and facilitator, a certified Instructor-of-Trainers, and an instructional designer specializing in experiential and online learning techniques.
