- Don Carpenter - Oldest Competitor
- Don was a long time Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He first ran the SLAC Race in 1977 finishing in 13th place. Don has been the unofficial leader of the running group "The Angell Field Ancients" for a very long time.
