Workshop on Broadband Impedance
Measurements & Modeling

The Future generation of electron storage rings for synchrotron light sources or damping rings for linear colliders will require very low impedance vacuum systems, the design of which relies heavily on the impedance modeling.   This workshop will have three goals:

Working Groups:

Monday:  Plenary Sessions: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Orange Room.

0900 Introductions
0915 Single bunch instabilities S. Heifets
1000 Coffee Break
1030 Impedance Measurements & Models B. Podobedov
1115 Parameters of future rings J. Corlett
1145 Tentative Working Group Programs

Tuesday & Wednesday:  Orange Room

Thursday: Orange Room

Organizing Committee: John Corlett (LBNL), Tor Raubenheimer (SLAC), Marc Ross (SLAC).
The Workshop fee is $100.00. Please register by e-mail to Robbin Nixon at
