Minutes of the E163 Civil Construction Meeting, 3/31/04.

Attendees: E. Colby, H. Shin, P. Rodriguez, D. Palmer, R. Noble, S. Pierson, R. Siemann, C. Corvin

1. Discussion started with Sandy Pierson regarding the proposed move of Bldg. 225 to a location NE of ESB to become the E163 control room.

Sandy will organize the details of the move with a target date of June 1.

Following the meeting Hieu Dao of SEM assigned Harry Shin as the UTR for the building move.

2. R. Siemann reported that the B225 electrical system is up to code.

Afer the meeting it was confirmed that B225 has fire sprinklers.

The new foundation would be the same design as for buildings previously moved, and after the meeting Ken Yang of SEM reported that no Earthquake Safety Committe review of the foundation was needed.

R. Noble will check with Stan Mao of Rad Physics if any RP approval is needed to move B225 since its new location will be between the FFTB and ESB.

3. The plan is to place B225 within 8 to 12 feet of northern wall of ESB, over the utility trench. S. Pierson will check on minimum separation required for traffic/fire access and also check with Rob Reek whether the fire hydrant can be moved or even taken out so B225 could be placed further west. Stored equipment, beam stops, blocks, etc presently stored in the area will be moved by S. Pierson prior to move.

4. H. Shin reported that the final layout drawings for the laser clean room bid package have been put into Document Control by R. Principe.

The clean room technical spec has been signed by all except Jack Fry who must aprove it for ESH compliance prior to going to bid. Goal is to submit the bid package to Mimi Chang on Monday April 5 to start the procurement process.
