Minutes of
the E163 Civil Construction Meeting,
Attendees: E. Colby, R.
Principe, H. Shin, P. Rodriguez,
D. Palmer, R. Noble, D.
Amador, R. Siemann, R. Reek
1. R. Principe brought
updated E163 electrical drawings. It was decided that the four electrical spec
attachments that SLAC will provide in the laser room
bid package are the single line
electrical drawing showing the general laser
room dirty and clean power
circuit needs (R. Principe), a panel board
schedule for the clean power panel
in the laser room (R. Principe), the plan
view of the laser room layout
showing location of existing power, desired
panel location, and desired
outlets in the room (Ron Rogers), and the laser
room utility spreadsheet (D.
Palmer).
2. H. Shin distributed the
next draft of the laser room bid package and
feedback was requested. It was
clarified by R. Reek that the smoke detector
in the laser room air duct
supplied by the vendor will only shut off the air
blowers, not activate the fire
alarm system in the event of smoke. The
ionization detectors installed in the
room by SLAC after the room is complete
will activate the fire alarm
system. It was decided that SLAC will cut the hole
in the laser room wall for the
fire alarm conduit. Also D. Palmer will specify
the hole locations for the
laser light and Cerenkov light pipes for H. Shin to
include in the bid package. The
vendor will cut these holes as part of the
room contract. Next bid package
draft will be reviwed at the meeting on 3/10.
3. After the meeting
dirty power and 208 V 3Phase
power will be extended to a location close
to the clean power panel in
the laser room. New conduit will be installed
to the same location for the
480 V service for the HVAC.
