"On being the Stanford Chief of Police"

Speaker : Laura Wilson,
Director of Public Safety, Stanford University


Laura Wilson joined the Stanford Department of Public Safety in July of 1992, and was named the University's sixth police chief in June of 2002, just shy of her 10 year anniversary with the department. Wilson will speak on how she got into the profession, her experiences/history, her department's organizational structure, her law enforcement philosophy and her vision for the department of public safety. A graduate of Stanford with a degree in Human Biology, Wilson was a member of the Stanford Track Team, Cycling Team, and Cross Country Team during college.
