We realize that people with quite different experience, and perhaps from quite different fields would come to the workshop. We also realize that the scope of the problem is quite vast for one person to be an expert in all the issues.
To make the workshop more fruitfull, to facilitate communication of people with different experience and to promote discussion we would like to make an attempt to review various aspects of the problem, deliberately highlighting unsolved issues and contradictions. This would, hopefully, help people from different fields to be more prepared for productive discussions.
The items listed above will be reviewed. This page will be updated often, so please visit it from time to time. We also hope that feedback from you will help to make this review more detailed.
The following partial bibliography hopefully will help to dive into the ground motion problems with as little splashes as possible.
- Classification of ground motion
- Ground motion measuremens
- Tunneling techniques and their impact on accelerator
- Ground motion modeling and effect on the beam
- Ground motion and vibration counteraction
