Feedback for the Vibration Damping System

While it is assumed that a solution to the feedback algorithm for the final focus can be designed, little effort has been applied to this problem.

The IP final focus quad system is a multi-variable linear system. If it is treated as a set of rigid masses connected by damped springs, a feedback can be designed using   the techniques in, for example:  "Skogestad, Postlethwait: Multivariable Feedback Control, Wiley 1996". This analysis has not be performed.

If the internal modes of the structures are considered, the feedback requirements become more complex.

Understanding the expected performance of the feedback system is necessary to understanding the requirements on site ground vibration, and on the design of the magnet supports.
