Special Projects: NLCTA work
Projects:
Acoustic measurements: Accelerometers were placed on the X-band accelerator structure. Acoustic signals from the RF (with no RF breakdown) were observed and measured. AcousticNote.pdf AcousticNote.fm
Ultrasonic sensors (~200KHz to >1MHz) sensors were used to look at breakdown. Sensors were located every 4 cells. A comparison of a signal generate from a tap (with a hammer) and a breakdown signal are shown: tap.jpg break.jpg
Suggested Optical Spectrograph System to look at Arcs in the X-band structures: Spectrometer, Old_Document
NLCTA suggested data acquisition equipment: dataacq.pdf, Viewgaphs for talk: dataacqtalk.pdf
