VSWR Measurement and Set-up for measurement

The  following steps will configure the Network Analyzer  with an "Adapter Removal" Calibration for measurement of the window..

Cal Kit Set-up:

  1. Two Cal Kits are used.  One Cal Kit is the WG16x9 which has the "adapter" information.  The other Cal Kit is the WR2100_86 when using the 8.6" delay line of WR2100.
  2. These Cal Kits need to be loaded into the Cal 1 and the Cal 2 storage locations under the "Calibration Menu" on the Network Analyzer.
  3. Remember to set the Impedance to 1 ohm for the waveguide calibration.
  4. Make sure there are three Cal Set storage locations before starting the calibration procedure.

Stimulus:

  1. Center Frequency 476 MHz
  2. Span 100 MHz

Calibration:

  1. Perform a TRL calibration for Port 1 and Port 2 with the "Adapter" attached to Port 1 and Port 2 using the Cal Kit for the waveguide size of Port 1 and Port 2.
  2. Store the Cal Set of Port 1 in storage location 1 and the Cal Set for Port 2 in storage location 2
  3. The following steps are now a sequence of instructions using the buttons and questions on the screen of the network analyzer:

For the "thru" portion of the calibration the set-up looks like this:

When doing the WR2100 Calibration, the set-up looks like this: (The adapter is part of the WG16x9 port.)

When doing the WG16x9 Calibration the set-up looks like this: (The adapter is now part of the WR2100 port.)
