Table of Actual Measurements, Machine Cuts, and Measured VSWR Results
After Brazing, the .279 and .145 are measured
Per note 4 on drawing SA-341-341-12, clean up cuts are made to finish surfaces so that the window can be measured in the cold test fixture. The clean-up cuts are a maximum of .005 on each of the two surfaces. This became known as "the square-up cut" as noted in the table below (after window #20).

The before and after parallelism is shown in the figure below.

The VSWR was measured and the frequency tuned by the second cut at an assumed value of 25 MHz/mil. The actual tuning rates are shown in the histogram below. (Material was removed from the side opposite the copper. In only a few instances at the beginning, was material removed from the copper side after the square-up cut.)
