System review 2/22 – D. Schultz

This is a systems review.  We will not have time to get into design details.  This review is for Phase-1, although I would anticipate questions about Phase-2.

I (DCS) will present an overall system description in the opening session.  Some reviewers will not have a complete picture of what your subsystem does so first give a schematic description.

Each subsystem presenter should briefly address:

1.   Functional block-level explanation of the subsystem

2.   Requirements and specs (highlighting critical specs, and show that you do/don't have the all specification you need)

3.   Status of development (including the status of technical reviews)

4.   Status of schedule and manpower

5.   Interface and treaty points

A table of all the interfaces, the ICD treaty points, your system

shares with other subsystems, with a list of which signals (including

protection/interlock features) you are sending and receiving from

other subsystems.

6.   Identification of remaining issues and action plan

Summarize issues and proposed actions, including:

Missing information that is needed to complete your work.

Technical problems that pose a technical, cost, schedule risk.

Resource problems that pose a schedule or cost risk.

General coordination issues that need resolution.

Unfortunately you will not have a lot of time to fully cover these topics, so emphasize those issues which are crucial.

Thanks to everyone for your help!
