Joe Frisch presented the progress with developments of an inertial probes that would be suitable for inertial stabilization of Final Doublet. A prototype has been build and is under tests now, showing promising performance. See Joe's notes for more details. Alternative designs of the probes were also discussed.
Results of seismic measurements performed at the NLC site 127 have been presented and discussed. The measurements were done on surface (!) on the outcrop of a bedrock in a dry creek near the projected NLC alignment. The measurements show very low level of the seismic noise and practically no cultural noise. See the report for more details.
We also briefly discussed the plans and preliminary results for measurements of vibrations caused by water flow in the cooling pipes and in accelerating structures.
