Tom Mattison presented the latest results from the Optical Anchor
project at University of British Columbia, to measure the position of a
one-degree-of-freedom test platform with a laser interferometer to
sub-nanometer precision and control the position with piezoelectric actuators.
Tom presented the work via phone from UBC and we projected his
