The x-intercept on this graph shows the point at which the capacitance of the 2 sets of plates are equal.

The slope of this graph relates voltage noise to distance noise.  Distance noise must be less than one nanometer because this is the amount of noise that will significantly affect the NLC; it is the distance the ground moves in this frequency range.

This slope is used in the noise calculations.
