Archimedes was a famous Greek mathematician who lived in the third century BC. It is hard to believe that some of his most important writings have only now been uncovered. How? With a powerful x-ray beam produced here at SLAC! Join Dr. Bergmann in a fascinating journey through 2000 years of science and history. We will also have 3-D glasses!

The night sky appears calm, but it is in fact populated by incredible explosions taking place out in the universe and the hunt is on to find an explanation! GLAST is an observatory that will allow us to listen to what the universe is trying to tell us by measuring gamma rays. Not only do gamma ray bursts emit radiation that GLAST can see, but exotic physics may be happening out there that we are not aware of! Join Dr. do Couto e Silva as we explore this topic together.
