2 .) id=112 Thomas Markiewicz -- Status of LHC Secondary Collimator Project (20 min)
| Summary: A conceptual design report for a rotatable copper seconday collimator that will fit within the LHC accelerator contraint envelope has been completed. In FY06 SLAC plans to build this collimator in two phases. In the first phase we will do thermal tests of one appropriately cooled jaw. In the second step we will build two jaws with full mechanical adjustments and test it in vacuum for accuracy. |
