Engineering: Conventional Facilities

Challenge & Response

The International Linear Collider provides a challenging opportunity to develop and optimize the infrastructure essential to support a world class research machine.  The Conventional Facilities of the ILC are anything but "conventional" as they include extensive cooling, power and structural systems that rival any ever built. These systems must perform within stringent physical and environmental constraints. Tomorrows advances in basic science demand that integrated concepts and solutions be developed today by engineers qualified through training, licensure and experience.  The growing ILC excitement has drawn together an engineering staff with the R&D experience to meet the challenge.
