The Building Manager Program - Overview

SLAC has a Building Manager Program to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective management of its facilities. Building Managers are an essential part of the Environment, Safety, and Health Program at SLAC. The Building Manager Steering Committee administers the Building Manager Program and guides and supports the building managers. The Building Manager Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the program. The Directorate Building Manager Coordinators support their own directorates' building managers.

The Building Manager Program is directed toward four functional areas that promote overall operation of the buildings:

  1. Work Authorization
  2. Conducting and Facilitating Inspections
  3. Emergency Preparedness
  4. Facility Management

The Building Manager Program Manual defines the Building Manager Program.
