Al Ashley Retires

After thirty years of dedicated service to Stanford University, Al Ashley decides   to hang it up.  Al has not talked much about life after SLAC or what he plans to do after he retires, but whatever he decides, I am sure it will be something other than tennis or golf every day.  Al's latest accomplishment was to bring the National Society of Black Physicists exhibit to the Tech Museum in San Jose.

As an appreciation for Al Ashley's contribution to Stanford University, he will be honored at SLAC's 10th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Wednesday June 16, 1999.  We will also celebrate Al's retirement at this time.   Let's show our appreciation for a job done well,  join us in bidding farewell to Al.  See San Jose Mercury News article for details on Al's retirement. See (some) Juneteenth photos.
